One Boca approved in 4-1 City Council vote, project expected to generate over $4 billion

BOCA RATON, Fla. (CBS12) — A proposal that could deliver more than $4 billion in revenue to Boca Raton without raising taxes is officially heading to voters after the City Council approved a package of key agreements tied to the transformative One Boca development in a 4-to-1 vote on Tuesday.

The council’s vote advances the Master Partnership Agreement, the Development Management and Construction Agreement for public facilities, and leases for private components of the project — all of which outline how 7.8 acres next to the Brightline station and the Government Center Campus would be redeveloped into a new civic, recreational, and pedestrian-focused district.

One Boca’s development team also unveiled a conceptual rendering of a reimagined Memorial Park, created in collaboration with city officials and members of the local veteran community. The early designs envision a prominent public plaza honoring veterans and expanding green space…
