Some not-so-neighborly drama seeped into Town Hall when the owners of the property abutting that estate of billionaire Nelson Peltz and his wife, Claudia, objected to the Peltzes’ efforts to get Palm Beach officials to grant after-the-fact approval for their already-built padel court.
The tension surfaced during a Jan. 14 Town Council review of the Peltzes request for a special exception to Palm Beach’s zoning code, which is required to build a padel court in the district where the Peltzes’ sizable oceanfront estate is located, at 548 N County Road.
