BOYNTON BEACH, Fla. (CBS12) — The City of Boynton Beach is asking a judge to dismiss certain claims in a wrongful-death lawsuit filed by the family of a woman who was shot and killed shortly after she went to the Boynton Beach Police Department seeking help for domestic violence and stalking.
The motion to dismiss, filed Dec. 30, 2025, is the latest development in the civil case tied to the November 2023 killing of 32-year-old Fridelene Daniel — a case CBS12 News has closely followed since her death.
Daniel arrived at the Boynton Beach Police Department around 8:15 a.m. on Nov. 8, 2023, to report that her ex-boyfriend, Robens Cesar, was stalking and threatening her.
