WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. (CBS12) — As Valentine’s Day approaches, scammers are ramping up efforts to take advantage of people looking for love — and experts warn the fraud can start with something as simple as a flattering message or a too-good-to-pass-up deal.
Scammers commonly target victims in two ways around Valentine’s Day: through dating apps or websites and via email, according to a tech expert.
