WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. – A man has been arrested following a late-morning home invasion robbery in West Palm Beach that prompted neighbors to step in and help recover stolen property, according to police.
The incident occurred shortly after 11 a.m. in a residential area near US-1 and 50th Street. Authorities identified the suspect as Zieare Peavy, who is accused of breaking into a home while the resident was away. Investigators say the situation escalated when the homeowner unexpectedly returned and confronted the intruder inside the property.

According to law enforcement officials, Peavy allegedly entered the residence unlawfully and began gathering items from inside the home. While he was still inside, the homeowner returned and discovered the break-in in progress. Police said Peavy then assaulted the resident during the confrontation before fleeing the scene on foot.
