We noted your [Feb. 1] editorial in support of the Town Council approval of the Paramount Theater application.
First, you should have acknowledged that the application was only narrowly approved by a 3-2 vote.
Second, you state that this application “will not please everyone.” Evidently, it’s pleasing only [the building’s owner,] Mr. [Lester] Woerner. Conversely, it will be opposed in an appeal filed against the town by associations of nine condominium buildings in the neighboring area, containing over 1,200 residents, because the approval is contrary to the town code and comprehensive plan. Rarely has an entire area of town been so united in opposition. So, no, as you say, it “does not please everyone.”…
