West Palm Beach is about to get its very own focacceria when The Daily Foccacia opens its doors at 410 Evernia Streetin a few months.
Most of us have had a sandwich made on focaccia, but according to the husband and wife team of Fernanda Bruna and chef Erjon Musaj — there’s a world of quality focaccia and Italian sandwiches to be explored and they’re ready to introduce South Florida to the possibilities. Musaj, whose experience includes serving as executive chef at Bice Italian Restaurant in Palm Beach, grew up in Tuscany, Italy and wants to share the taste and texture of well-made, fresh focaccia sandwiches with West Palm Beach. This Italian bread should be light and airy on the inside with a golden, crispy exterior — perfect for eating alone or as the base of a memorable sandwich.
At The Daily Focaccia, customers will be able to buy fresh focaccia on its own or as a sandwich using high-end organic ingredients. “We want to keep the sandwiches authentic, but elevate them for West Palm Beach,” says Bruna who adds that upscale additions will include shaved truffles. In addition to focaccia, The Daily Focaccia will offer organic wines and craft beers for pairing, although a full menu is not yet available…
