Florida hit-and-run suspect flees on foot after crashing into tree while fleeing victim

BOYNTON BEACH, Fla. (CBS12) — Boynton Beach police say a hit-and-run driver crashed into a tree while fleeing his victim, then hid in an elevator shaft before officers found him.

Officers with the Boynton Beach Police Department say they responded to a hit and run at SE 2nd Avenue and SE 1st Street.
