ASHEVILLE, N.C. (828newsNOW) — A federal fugitive wanted for decades in connection with a $1.3 million armored car theft in Florida has been identified following his death in Asheville late last year, authorities said.
The North Carolina State Bureau of Investigation said Tuesday the man, identified as John Anthony Quinn, died of natural causes in December at an Asheville hospital.
Quinn, who was 48 at the time of the crime, was wanted by the Federal Bureau of Investigation for unlawful flight to avoid prosecution and by the state of Florida on a charge of first-degree grand theft…
