The Breakers hotel in Palm Beach has bought the site of a longtime mental health center along 45th Street in West Palm Beach.
The hotel company paid $11.5 million on March 25 for the onetime premises of the Jerome Golden Center for Behavioral Health and an adjacent property with a medical office building, according to a deed filed with the Palm Beach County Clerk of Court.
The company declined to reveal its plans for the site. But the Breakers is building an apartment complex for its workers in West Palm Beach’s north end, and its CEO said last year that he expected the company to pursue more affordable housing projects in the city…
