The oceanfront Claridges Condominium complex in Palm Beach could be one Town Council meeting away from ending two, months-long code-violation cases over mechanical equipment installed without Palm Beach’s approval.
That’s thanks to the Architectural Commission, which unanimously approved two cooling towers already installed on top of the condo’s two buildings, on the condition that the South End development install screening to obscure the equipment at 3460 S Ocean Blvd. and 3456 S Ocean Blvd.
During its most recent meeting, the design board also voted to endorse two variance requests to the zoning code triggered by the height of both units. But the board unanimously voted against two variances that would have allowed the condo to avoid screening the equipment…
