Riverfest, KSHSAA tournaments bring big bucks to Wichita

WICHITA, Kan. (KSNW) — The Riverfest — Kansas’ biggest outdoor party is here through June 6. But it’s not the only event drawing thousands of people to the Air Capital.

Thousands of athletes, coaches, fans, and families will gather at Wichita State University’s Crossland, Eck, and Wilkins stadiums this weekend as the Kansas State High School Activities Association crowns state champions in track and field, baseball, and softball.

KSHSAA’s state track and field meet is the largest single-weekend event in the nation, generating millions of dollars in revenue.
