πŸ‘Ÿ Area athletes capture 28 titles at KSHSAA State Track and Field Championships

WICHITA, Kan. β€” Area athletes and relay teams combined to win 28 state championships as the KSHSAA State Track and Field Championships concluded Saturday at Crossland Stadium.

Buhler led the area with five Class 4A championships. Hesston and Sterling each claimed four titles, while Inman and Little River each finished with three. Cunningham and Hutchinson Trinity Catholic each won two championships. Halstead, McPherson, Moundridge, Pratt and Sedgwick also brought home gold medals.

Buhler

Buhler’s Garrett Gleason completed a standout sophomore season by winning two Class 4A sprint championships. Gleason captured the boys 100-meter dash in 10.63 seconds and the 200 in 21.71. He also placed second in the high jump at 6 feet, 2 inches and 11th in the long jump at 20-5.50…
