WICHITA, Kan. (KWCH) – Once again we are waking up to showers and storms across the state. However, the activity is not as heavy or as widespread as it was on Tuesday morning. Most areas will be dry out into the afternoon, and peaks of sunshine will take temperatures into the lower 80s.
The next batch of storms will start over western Kansas this evening and then move east tonight. However, most of the activity will stay along and west of I-135, and while a few strong storms are possible, widespread severe weather is not expected. A similar event is likely late Thursday into early Friday.
Our next statewide storm system is scheduled to arrive this weekend, though a few storms are possible along and north of I-70 Friday night. A tropical plume of moisture should lead to widespread showers and storms, mainly along and east of a Dodge City to Hays late Saturday and Sunday…
