FactFinder: Following crash, WPD officer no longer on force, DA expects to make charging announcement

WICHITA, Kan. (KWCH) – The Wichita Police Department has confirmed that an officer involved a crash back in April while responding to a call is no longer working for the department.

While WPD could not disclose specific employee discipline, the Sedgwick County District Attorney’s Office told FactFinder they received the crash investigation conducted by the Kansas Highway Patrol on May 28 and expect to make a charging announcement early next week.
