WICHITA, Kan. (KWCH) – A strong cold front will sweep across Kansas today ushering in cooler temperatures and lower humidity. While the Wichita area climbs into the lower 90s, most of the state will see highs in the 80s. Friday will feel even better with highs in the 80s and unusually low humidity.
Our next cold front will arrive on Saturday bringing with it a chance of showers and storms during the afternoon and evening. In addition to areas of heavy rain, some of the storms – mainly over eastern Kansas – will be strong/severe with small hail and gusty winds. Additional showers are possible on Sunday, especially along and south of I-70.
Early next week looks unseasonably cool with lows in the 40s and 50s, and highs in the 70s. A rapid warm-up is expected after that with highs in the 80s on Tuesday giving way 90s Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday…
