๐ŸŽพ๐Ÿˆ Two Sterling standouts named finalists for Greater Wichita Sports Banquet awards

WICHITA, Kan. โ€” Two Sterling High School student-athletes have been named finalists for major awards that will be presented at the 2026 Greater Wichita Sports Banquet.

Chelsie Brown is one of three finalists for the Lynette Woodard High School Female Athlete of the Year award, joining Andaleโ€™s Rylee Meyer and Kapaun Mt. Carmelโ€™s Courtney Nye.

Brown capped her Sterling tennis career with a second consecutive Class 3-2-1A state singles championship, finishing her senior season with a 33-0 record. She ended her high school career with a 120-14 mark and won her final 70 matches. Brown also represented Team USA at the 2025 Deaflympics in Tokyo, earning a bronze medal in womenโ€™s doubles…
