Man arrested for injuring Sedgwick County deputy, damaging patrol cars in Oaklawn

WICHITA, Kan. (KWCH) – A Bel Aire man is in the Sedgwick County Jail following a weekend disturbance during an arrest attempt in Oaklawn, in which he’s accused of injuring a Sedgwick County Sheriff’s deputy and damaging a pair of patrol vehicles.

The sheriff’s office said that following evaluation at a local hospital, 29-year-old Ladell De’Anthony Grant is in jail for charges that include aggravated battery of a law enforcement officer, battery of a law enforcement officer, interference with a law enforcement officer, criminal damage to property, drug-related crimes and for an outstanding warrant out of Bel Aire.
