WICHITA, Kan. (KSNW) — A teen was charged on Tuesday in connection with a Wichita shooting that hurt a 12-year-old.
Court documents say 19-year-old Diego Moreno-Espinoza is charged with one count of aggravated battery.
The shooting happened Friday morning near Laura and Pawnee avenues. According to Wichita police, Moreno-Espinoza was “handling” a gun and allegedly shot the 12-year-old in the stomach on accident.

The victim and two others were driving to the hospital and stopped at a parking lot at Hillside Avenue and George Washington Boulevard to call law enforcement, police said.
Moreno-Espinoza appeared in court Tuesday. His next court date is set for July 20. He is being held on a $50,000 bond…
