Wichita Board of Education invites community to build their own school budget

WICHITA, Kan. (KWCH) – The Wichita School Board showed off their new budget simulator on Tuesday.

The simulator allows the community to build their own simulated school budgets, and shows how difficult it can be to balance a district’s budget. The point of the simulator is to help the community better understand things like property taxes, ‘restricted by purpose’ funds and how to handle budget shortfalls.
