Carnival rides, petting zoos and racing at Sedgwick County Fair in Cheney

CHENEY, Kan. (KWCH) – The Sedgwick County Fair kicked off this week with all sorts of fun activities.

The fair started on Wednesday, but there’s still plenty to look forward to. The beginning of the fair featured mostly animal shows and petting zoos. Heading into the weekend, the fun really begins, with carnival rides to racing and more.

“Tomorrow night’s the big demo derby,” Bret Albers with Sedgwick County Fair said on Friday. “It’s full-on contact, last guy standing wins, so it’ll be a lot of fun. Get here early, the stands fill up. There’s usually standing room only by the time showtime gets here, which is 7 p.m. so definitely if you’re coming out for that, get here early.”…
