WICHITA, Kan. (KSNW) – The American Red Cross is warning that blood supplies are getting critically low.
The organization said Monday that a steep decline in blood donations since the end of May created a growing gap between supply and patients in need.
The Red Cross says that hospital demand for blood is nearly 3,500 units higher per week than expected, with the summer season being one of the peak times of the year for traumatic injuries to happen…
