WICHITA, Kan. (KWCH) – Today promises to be a carbon copy of Wednesday with highs in the upper 80s and lower 90s. An isolated storm or two cannot be ruled out this afternoon, mainly along and south of Medicine Lodge to Salina line. While severe weather is unlikely, pockets of brief heavy rain are possible.
Temperatures will trend a little higher on Friday afternoon. Highs in the near normal lower 90s may feel a degree or two hotter with a splash of humidity. While no alerts or advisories are in effect, strenuous outdoor activities should be avoided during the afternoon.
Expect highs in the middle to upper 90s, if not over 100 degrees Saturday through Monday. While the humidity won’t be excessive it will be high enough to push the feels like temperatures to 105, especially on Sunday and Monday. All three days are Storm Team 12 weather alert days for dangerous heat…
