Weather Alert – still hot, but a break coming

Key takeaways for the next few days:

  • A cold front moves in Tuesday
  • Some heat relief arrives midweek
  • Storms will return for mainly central/northern KS
  • Heat will build back within a week

Wednesday – Many areas will cool back to the lower 90s and some storms return to the forecast. Right now, the best chances will be across northern Kansas into the night, but they will track east and possibly still be around early Thursday.

Thursday/Friday – Morning storms are a possibility early Thursday across northcentral and eastern Kansas. Sunshine returns for everyone in the afternoon with highs in the upper 80s and lower 90s. It will start to get hotter by Friday, but much of the state should remain below 100 to start the weekend. It does look dry for the final weekend of July…
