WICHITA, Kan. (KWCH) — Nearly a year and a half after losing her sister and sustaining serious injuries in a massive pileup on Interstate 70 near Goodland, an Indiana woman returned to Wichita on Wednesday, to reunite with the nursing staff at Wesley Medical Center.
Denise Allison was in one of more than 70 vehicles involved in the dust storm crash on I-70. Her sister, Stephanie, was one of eight people killed. Allison was among dozens injured.
‘The next thing I could see was the back of a semi truck’
Allison said she and her sister could see dust in the distance before the crash on March 14, 2025.
