WICHITA, Kan. (KWCH) – The Wichita Police Department arrested a 16-year-old boy in connection with an incident over the weekend that police described as “a terrifying experience for three young girls.”
Police arrested the teen on Wednesday and booked him into the Juvenile Intake Assessment Center on three counts of aggravated assault. He’s accused of chasing the girls and pointing a handgun at them. After recovering the weapon, officers determined that it was a BB gun.
This began a little before 9 p.m. Sunday at Sowers Park in the 2400 block of East Wassall. Police said the girls- two 12-year-olds and a 9-year-old- were on the swings in the park’s playground where two teenage boys “apparently believed the girls were making fun of them.”…
