WICHITA, Kan. (KSNW) — A woman charged with the stabbing death of her 80-year-old mother in October has been found mentally competent for trial.
On Thursday, a Sedgwick County judge found that Angelynn Mock, a former television news anchor, was competent to stand trial in the death of Anita Avers.
Avers died Halloween morning after she was found in her bed with multiple stab wounds at her South City home near Hydraulic Avenue and Crowley Street.
