WICHITA, Kan. — Wichita police arrested a man on Sunday following a traffic stop in the 1900 block of S. Pattie, near Washington and Mt. Vernon. During the investigation, officers located several suspected improvised explosive devices inside the vehicle.
“The Wichita Police Department’s Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) Unit responded to the scene, safely secured the devices, and took them into custody for further examination as part of the ongoing investigation,” the Wichita Police Department said.
Sedgwick County booking records identify the driver as Steven Lee Martinez, 56. He was arrested on traffic-related charges, as well as four counts of possession of explosives and four counts of criminal use of explosives…
