WICHITA, Kan. (KWCH) – It is a quiet, albeit warm and muggy morning across Kansas, and the day ahead promises to be hot and humid. Afternoon temperatures in the middle to upper 90s will feel like 100-105 degrees when you factor in the humidity, and strenuous outdoor activities should be avoided.
We quickly turn our attention to storm chances this evening. Expect the activity to start over north and west Kansas after 5 pm and eventually arrive in the Wichita area after 10 pm. Some of the storms will be severe, producing damaging wind gusts, large hail, and heavy rainfall.
The rest of the work week appears mostly dry and not as hot/humid. Expect highs in the lower 90s on Wednesday and Thursday to be replaced by middle 90s on Friday underneath mainly sunny skies…
