Bella Luna Cafe is about to leave Bradley Fair, bound for a new home at Waterfront Plaza, 13th and Webb. This week, owner Matteo Taha shared specifics about the move.
The restaurant, which has been at Bradley Fair since 2004, will serve its final meal there on Sept. 6. The restaurant will then reopen in the former Grimaldi’s Pizza space, 1441 N. Webb Road, on Sept. 15. The freestanding building that Bella Luna is taking over is in the same strip center that has Whole Foods Market and Orangetheory Fitness.
When it moves, the restaurant will drop “cafe” from its name and be known just as Bella Luna. Taha said this week that the hours for the restaurant will be the same as they are at Bradley Fair. The menu will also be the same, although he’s adding a few new dishes, including lamb shanks, flatiron steak and a new pasta dish.
The overall environment of the new restaurant space will be more upscale, Taha said. It will have 40 additional seats and a private room that can accommodate 50 or be split into two rooms that seat 25 each. It’ll also have a new wine display and a different bar setup…
