The restaurant owner who plans to take over the Chico’s Mexcian Restaurant space at 4407 W. Maple after it closes in mid-September has identified himself.
It’s Jacky Chan Sushi owner Binh Tran, whose late-night sushi restaurant has operated at 7820 E. Harry since 2015.
Tran said on Friday that his lease is expiring at his current address, and he wants a newer, bigger space. The restaurant, which serves sushi from 5 p.m. to 4 a.m. every day but Mondays, will keep operating where it is until sometime in October.
