Another hot day in the Sunflower State. Highs reach into the triple digits across much of the state, adding to our 100-degree tally for the year.
Heat Advisories remain in place for portions of North Central Kansas through 7 PM Monday.
A Marginal Risk for severe weather is in place for Northwest Kansas this evening as one or two storms could be on the stronger side with a wave of energy pushing from Colorado into Kansas. Gusty winds and hail will be the primary concerns.
We dry out for most of Tuesday, seeing plenty of sunshine with temperatures still climbing back into the triple digits. Winds will remain out of the south, pulling warmer air into the state.
We could see a few showers late Tuesday night into Wednesday. Energy will again track off the Rockies and into western Kansas before fizzling as it continues east.
Heat will remain the main story through the upcoming week as we see several more days above the century mark. Get ready for a sizzling kickoff to high school football this Friday.
