BUTLER COUNTY, Kan. (KWCH) – A team effort in Butler County successfully knocked down a Labor Day Weekend grass fire near Towanda, but not without a medical emergency.
On its Facebook page, Towanda Fire Rescue reported that a couple of its firefighters needed emergency treatment for heat exhaustion after battling the fire Sunday afternoon, which “that spread into a large section of densely packed cedars and hedge.”
