WICHITA, Kan. (KWCH) — The Wichita Police Department released a statement after social media posts accused officers of targeting an event. Organizers for the Fall Fest 2K26 say they don’t understand why police force was used.
The two-part music festival took place at Wave Outdoors where a concert was held featuring nationally known artists Boosie and Yung Miami. The second part took place in Old Town, where organizers said police made them feel like they were being targeted.
“We were met with a heavy police presence, something like we’ve never seen in Old Town before, something that strikes fear in someone’s heart when you see police and you don’t know why,” said one of the organizer’s A.J. Bohannon…
