WICHITA, Kan. (KSNW) — Gun suppressors reduce the noise of a shot, and now, there are questions about guidance on selling them.
In August, a federal judge declared certain elements of the National Firearms Act unconstitutional – including registration requirements on suppressors, short-barreled rifles and short-barreled shotguns.
Prior to the ruling, individuals seeking these items had to wait for approval from the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives. Now, the items can be obtained by completing the form required for the purchase of all firearms.
