WICHITA, Kan. (KSNW) — A Kansas man is accused of stealing a copious amount of copper.
On Thursday, the Comanche County Sheriff’s Office searched a home in Protection, about 60 miles southeast of Dodge City, during a copper theft investigation. Inside, deputies said they made a big discovery: 500 pounds of copper material thought to be stolen.
A Protection man was arrested and booked in the Kiowa County Jail on suspicion of felony theft and burglary. KSN does not name suspects in crimes unless they are charged.
