WICHITA, Kan. (KSNW) — A Wichita business owner has been indicted on federal wire fraud charges after prosecutors say she submitted falsified information to obtain pandemic‑era financial assistance intended for struggling small businesses.
A federal grand jury returned an indictment Wednesday charging Christina DeLeon, 42, with two counts of wire fraud.
Court documents allege that DeLeon knowingly misrepresented her company’s sales and number of employees in applications for Paycheck Protection Program loans during the COVID‑19 pandemic.
