WAKEENEY, Kan. (KWCH) – A Western Kansas teen is recovering after a slip on the ice led to a freak accident. The WaKeeney teen was helping with snow removal Saturday, Jan. 20, when he slipped on the ice and impaled himself on a pair of pliers. He’s recovering at home following an emergency helicopter ride to a Wichita hospital.
