Bipartisan ‘Good Samaritan’ bill aims to prevent drug overdose deaths statewide

WICHITA, Kan. (KWCH) – In Sedgwick County alone, more than 300 people died from drug overdoses in 2022, data from the county shows. Addressing the issue spurred by the fentanyl crisis, a bipartisan group of state representatives says it has a bill to prevent overdose deaths statewide. Currently, Kansas is one of two states without such a law, the other being Wyoming.
