WICHITA, Kan. (KWCH) – A teenager is dead and a woman is hospitalized after being shot in west Wichita. Officers were called to a home in the 8400 block of West Central last night to check the welfare of a 14-year-old. Family members told police they were concerned because they could not reach him. Police went to the home where the boy lived with a parent, and made contact with a woman armed with a handgun.
