Two hospitalized after motorcycle crash near Bradley Fair

WICHITA, Kan. (KSNW) — Emergency services and first responders were on the scene of a crash in northeast Wichita Tuesday evening, which resulted in two people being taken to the hospital.

The call came in around 5:55 p.m. from the 1700 block of N. Rock Rd., near Bradley Fair.

Sedgwick County Dispatch initially told KSN that one person was unresponsive.

According to Wichita Police Lieutenant Lenny Rose, a 75-year-old woman was driving a vehicle south on Rock Road when she turned in front of a 40-year-old man riding a motorcycle headed north, causing the two to collide.

The motorcyclist was taken in “extremely critical condition” via EMS to a local hospital. The driver of the vehicle was taken to a local hospital in “stable and fair condition.”

“I do not have any indications that there are any issues of alcohol or speed or anything like that; it looks to be a simple vehicular accident that is very serious in nature for the injuries,” said Rose.
