In a rural town of less than 1,000 people, the Leon Christian Church’s women’s ministry, or Joy Ministry, is eager to join the fight of ending hunger in their small community. After some time of knowing the need of their neighbors, strangers and friends alike, the group of women decided it was time to make a change. So, they opened the town’s first no charge food pantry, The Joy Pantry.
