WICHITA, Kan. (KAKE) – A 34-year-old man was taken to the hospital after a stabbing incident near downtown Wichita early Saturday morning. Wichita police were dispatched to the 200 block of South Poplar around 2:10 a.m. Upon arrival, officers found the man who sustained non-life threatening wounds. A preliminary investigation found that a disturbance had occurred between the victim and the suspect which resulted in the stabbing. Both parties are known to each other, and this was not a random incident.
