First appearances are coming Tuesday in Lyon County District Court for a pair of Wichita residents arrested Thursday evening. 27-year-old Deshawn Hammond and 33-year-old Kayla Stokes are set to appear in separate hearings before Judge Doug Jones at 1:15 pm. Hammond and Stokes were arrested this past Thursday and each charged with single charges of alleged possession of methamphetamine, criminal possession of a weapon by a felon, possession of drug paraphernalia with intent to use and theft.
