A man shot and killed his girlfriend hours after undergoing a psychiatric evaluation, according to a court document made public today. Britnee Wicker, 24, was killed in her home in the 2300 block of S. Belmont on November 12, 2023. Wicker’s mother found her body. Carlos Anderson-Honeycutt shared the house with Wicker. Police discovered Anderson-Honeycutt had been taken to a hospital due to suicidal thoughts four days before Wicker was killed. Anderson-Honeycutt told police at the time he had planned to kill himself because he was having issues with Wicker and the mother of his daughter had planned to take the girl out of state. Anderson-Honeycutt was released from the hospital on November 11.
