Sedgwick County employee arrested while on duty, suspected of official misconduct

WICHITA, Kan. (KSNW) — A Sedgwick County Emergency Communications employee was arrested on suspicion of official misconduct and interference with law enforcement.

A news release from the county said the on-duty employee had been employed by Sedgwick County since July 2022.

Valley Center law enforcement is investigating the situation and the case will be presented to the District Attorney for possible charges.

Director of emergency communications Elora Forshee said in a statement her department will “cooperate fully with law enforcement.”

KSN does not name suspects until they have been formally charged with a crime.
