Wichita Fire Department battles blaze in southern part of city

Crews responded to a house fire Saturday morning in south Wichita.

The blaze was reported after 5:30 a.m. in the 4700 block of S. Hydraulic. The homeowner told authorities the fire began in the basement. One person was treated on the scene.

There’s no word how the fire started nor a damage estimate.
