Chiefs fans celebrate Super Bowl win

WICHITA, Kan. (KSNW) – The Kansas City Chiefs beat the San Francisco 49ers in overtime to seal another championship.

Businesses showing the Super Bowl in Wichita were busy. Some people even traveled long distances to root for their favorite team.

Susan and Rick Wilmore made a nearly four-hour trek to watch the game.

“Two hundred fifty miles from Ulysses, Kansas,” Rick Wilmore said.

The longtime Chiefs fan said he made his way to Emerson Biggins Sports Bar in Old Town to be in a fun atmosphere around other people rooting for their team.

“I’m cheering for the Chiefs all day, every day,” Jamillah Bonner, also at Emerson Biggins, said. She’s been rooting for the team for about seven years now.

“Honestly, this season has not been that good for us,” Bonner said. “It’s really a shock for me. It’s a miracle they made it to the Super Bowl.”

With this win, Bonner and others are holding out hope next season will go even better for the Chiefs.
