WICHITA, Kan. (KSNW) – A Wichita police SUV running with its lights and sirens was hit by a car at Interstate 235 and Central early Saturday, around 12:30 a.m. The Kansas Highway Patrol said a Chevy Aveo driven by a 40-year-old Wichita woman was exiting off of I-235 and turning west onto Central when the crash happened. The car hit the eastbound WPD Ford Explorer on the passenger side. The KHP report didn’t say if the driver of the Aveo had a green light.
