Wichita City Council will plan for this spring’s River Festival

At Tuesday’s meeting, the Wichita City Council will look at the City’s participation in this spring’s Wichita River Festival. Mayor Lily Wu tells KNSS News “Riverfest is one of my favorite times of the year.” Wu says she was a Schoonermate in 2002 and the annual week of fun holds a “special place” in her heart.

The council will also discuss spending federal community service block grants. Wu says part of the money will be spent on problems of the homeless and part will be spent on “Way to Work,” putting young people to work in summer jobs.

Wu commented during Mondays with the Mayor on the Steve and Ted in the Morning Show on KNSS.
